30 Day Logo Challenge
Design Brief #7
Austin Run is large running event that happens once a year in Austin, Texas. They had over 5,000 participants last year and now believe it's time to get some great branding materials. Austin Run is a charitable event for autism research and raises money for families in need of care, education, and information. The event is so much fun and many people dress up in crazy outfits. Last year they had someone dressed as Darth Vader followed by 50 Storm Troopers!
For the design, they mentioned incorporating the Texas state shape, a landmark that represents Austin, something that represents running, or even just a text logo. I went with both the Texas shape, and a text logo. I stuck to the same sort of colour, using different shades. The font for this shape, I decided on a script font with a more handwritten feel to it. This hopefully aids in making the event feel more 'connected' to the people in it.
